Plumber Mario jumped so deftly through the entire chronology of Nintendo consoles that author Jeff Ryan decided to appoint this hero as a virtual guide to the long history of Japanese and international game development.
His book “Super Mario. How Nintendo Conquered the World” Jeff wrote in 2011, and it turned out to be such a titanic work that it seems to have absorbed materials for several full-fledged publications. His work has been recognized by Western readers, and the long-awaited translation of the book into Russian is finally presented by the Bombora publishing house.
Narration of “Super Mario. How Nintendo Conquered the World” is built smoothly. The author managed to carefully introduce texts about the Mario series games, their features and gameplay, not only into blocks of stories about development, but also into the history of the Nintendo studio since its appearance back in the 19th century, when Nintendo was then publishing playing cards. The book tells how business went before the advent of the era of video games and reveals what forced the management of the Japanese company to try themselves in a new field. The reader meets on the pages the future author of Super Mario Bros., the young Shigeru Miyamoto, just starting his career at Nintendo, as well as Minoru Arakawa, the founder of the company’s American division.
Book “Super Mario. How Nintendo Conquered the World” will soon go on sale in Russia.
