Call of Duty: World at War DLC with release date; Xbox 360 Demo Online
Through this message we already knew that new downloadable content for Call of Duty: World at War was on the way. When the new DLC would be released and what it exactly had to offer was not yet known, but developer Treyarch has changed that.
The DLC will be available for download on March 19 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will include one zombie and three multiplayer levels. The developer also said that news about the PC version of the game will be released soon.
Finally, a demo of the game has also appeared on Xbox Live. In the demo, the mission “Hard Landing” is playable in both single player and co-op mode.
Call of Duty: World at War returns to World War II, but the game is different from the cliché WWII games we’ve seen before. The game is set in the Far East! Just like in Medal of Honor Rising Sun, this time you will fight against the Japanese instead of the Germans, and you will have to use completely different tactics than you are used to. Treyarch has adapted the behavior of the opponents to the way of fighting of the Japanese in World War II.
CoD: WaW’s single player will use the Perks from Part 4’s multiplayer to make single player combat more dynamic and will support 4 player co-op for the first time. At least we don’t have to worry about the graphics: the game uses the same engine as Call of Duty 4.
