Chinese manufacturers working on dual-boot tablets

Tablet sales are declining, and to give new momentum to this market, some Chinese white-box manufacturers may launch devices soon dual-boot Android-Windows.

While nothing new, dual-boot tablets have always been opposed by Google And Microsoft (although the latter has recently patented an evolved Multi-OS system), which have practically prevented large companies such as ASUS And Samsung to produce.

Precisely due to the contraction of the market that we mentioned earlier, the white-box manufacturers (i.e. without labels) have seen their component suppliers abandon them to aim for the big names in the sector: the Chinese component manufacturer DPT, for example, recently signed a contract with ASUS And Acer for the supply of touch panels, while Holitech has contracts with Japanese giants ZTE, Huawei And Lenovo.

What is left to these “small” producers, if not to try their luck by creating a new market sector? The intentions would be to exploit the grants offered by Microsoft and Intel for the development of platform-based mobile devices Windows And To Tom. For devices under 10 ″, for example, the Windows license is currently free, and the discount applied by Intel on Atoms has allowed ASUS to sell ZenFone 2 at a very affordable price. Would you buy an unknown brand device if it allowed you to run both Windows and Android cheaply?
