A group of enthusiasts is trying to do what CD Projekt RED could not – namely add multiplayer to Cyberpunk 2077. A mod called CyberMP has been in development for two years and is already showing impressive progress.
At the end of April, the team conducted open testing for ordinary gamers. They managed to gather up to 18 players on one map, who drove cars and shot at each other.
As you can see from the video, there is still a lot of work to do. The characters still do not have animation or skins, but movement and damage are already synchronized.
It is unclear when exactly CyberMP will be released. The developers promise to conduct some more tests in the future and offer to subscribe to Boosty or Patreon.
