Developer: Jajaben Games
Publisher: Indietopia Games
Price: $12/£9/€12 (10% off at launch)

Nadia Was Here is an old-school RPG with a unique combat system. You have three characters in each battle, letting you switch between different lanes to decide who to attack instead of choosing targets directly. The progression system is also a bit different, with two of these characters stealing weapons and abilities from enemies in battle in order to progress/level up. Nadia Was Here can also impress with its pixel graphics and strange but cool, very limited color scheme.

SmuggleCraft

Release date:
23. May
Developer: Happy Badger Studio
Publisher: Happy Badger Studio
Price: $15/£11/€15

SmuggleCraft is a racing game in which you take on quests that require you to race through randomly generated landscapes to complete. You have to take part in chases or deliver illegal goods to earn money and improve your hovercraft. All of this is embedded in a larger plot with multiple endings. It kind of reminds me of that star Wars Podracing game, which is nothing negative, but it is pleasing that SmuggleCraft is not limited to this imitation, but incorporates roguelike elements and thus provides more variety. The game also features local multiplayer with splitscreen, which is always welcome.

Price: $10/£7/€10 (20% off at launch)

Gene shift is a top-down shooter that feels a bit like a modern reinterpretation of the first Grand Theft Auto plays games. The setting is more sci-fi than GTA and a lot more enemies appear on the screen. What’s cool is that you can play the campaign online cooperatively, which could be quite fun with several people in a car and the like. At Gene shift has been working for 8 years; The Early Access period is only used to add more features and content.

Dynasty Feud

Steam page
Release date:
23. May
Developer: Kaia Studios
Publisher: Kaia Studios
Price: $15/£11/€15 (10% off at launch)

Dynasty Feud is a “competitive brawler” that can be played either locally or online and is reminiscent of titles like Super Smash Bros remind. An interesting variation on the formula is that you lead a team of five characters into each battle, each of whom essentially acts as one of your lives. In the recent past, numerous indie games have been released in the style of Smash Bros Title published, but Dynasty Feuds visuals and level design make it stand out from the competition. The levels are varied and complex rather than just simple platforming; There are also a number of characters waiting to be unlocked.
