Today’s most popular online game, Fortnite, is still running on DirectX 9 cards, but that will change soon.

  • Fortnite will soon only support DirectX 11 cards
  • This is what Epic reported

Fortnite is one of the rare programs that runs on an Intel HD 4000-card machine to this day, but it won’t be for long. DirectX 9 is slowly running out of time, and recognizing this, Epic Games has decided to launch 9-card support at the start of Fortnite’s 10th season. “DirectX 11 cards have always been a cornerstone of Fortnite’s need for machines, but we’ve also supported old cards so that as many people as possible can play the program,” one developer said.

“When Season 10 of Fortnite kicks off, we will stop supporting old cards. This will allow us to focus on development and testing so that everyone gets the best experience possible.” Season 9 of Fortnite is still in full swing, and given that one season is 10 weeks old, the next season could start no earlier than August. Those who want to continue Fortnite will have to replace it by then. What card do you play Epic with?
