Full Google Pixel 5 specs have just been unveiled – this could really be the perfect and affordable FlagShip
Based on the latest information – and rumors – the Pixel 5 could be one of the best Android phones of the year. The latest details come from Twitter, rather from the leaker Max Weinbach.
Another batch of information about the Pixel 5 was revealed and helped to answer some of the few questions we have about the device. Based on the latest information – and rumors – the Pixel 5 could be one of the best Android phones of the year.
The latest details come from Twitter, rather from the leaker Max Weinbach. While we’ve seen leaks of Pixel 5 spec information before, Weinbach’s information adds interesting details.
First, Weinbach discloses the dimensions of Pixel 5: 5.69 x 2.77 x 0.31 inches or 144.6 x 70.4 x 8 mm. We could already guess based on the phone’s 6-inch 90Hz AMOLED screen that it would be smaller than the 6.2-inch Samsung Galaxy S20 or 6.1-inch iPhone 11, but the numbers show that this will be the smallest FlagShip premium released this year.
Camera: 12MP wide f/1.7. 12MP ultra wide f/2.2
Selfie camera: IMX 355 8MP
SoC: Snapdragon 765G
Dimensions: 70.4 x 144.6 x 8 mm
Storage: 128GB 8GB
LTE Band support: B2/4/5/8/12/13/17/18/18/19/20/25/26/28/32/39/48/66/71

This latest set of leaks also helps to clear up some doubts about the Pixel 5’s battery. We’ve seen rumors that the phone would use a 4,000 mAh battery, but others said the capacity was 4,080 mAh.
Weinbach’s information says that the Pixel 5’s battery is 4,080 mAh, we are inclined to believe that this is the correct capacity. 80 mAh won’t make a big difference in battery life.
But since the previous largest battery in a Pixel phone was 3700 mAh in the Pixel 4 XL, we expect the addition of 380 mAh to the Pixel 5 series’ battery life.
The Pixel 5’s selfie camera, which will be housed in a perforation of the screen, is an 8MP sensor, something we’ve heard from previous leaks. What Weinbach added is that the sensor is specifically one of Sony’s IMX 355 models.
The other details revealed by Weinbach we’ve heard before. This includes the rear cameras, which will be a dual array of a 12MP main sensor and a 16MP ultra-wide sensor. Weinbach points out that both cameras had 12 MP in their first tweet, but later corrected his claim.
Pixel 4 had a telephoto camera instead of an Ultra Wide one, but Google decided to change the sensor instead of adding a third camera on the back of the phone. This can be done as a cost-cutting measure, as there are rumors that Google will sell the Pixel 5 for a reasonably low price of $600-$700.
Pixel 5 will use the Snapdragon 765G at its heart, not the Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865 Plus, like most of the top Android phones released this year. This Chipset is cheaper and maintains 5G compatibility, but is less powerful.
Finally, this leak says the Pixel 5 will feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is almost in line with the lower end of the main options. Interestingly, this seems to be the only setting available, or at least the default.
Google will make Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G official, at an event on September 30th. We can also expect the appearance of some other new products, like the new Chromecast 4 , but Google’s FlagShip, completely renewed, will be the star of the program as far as we are concerned.
