GETAC RX 10 THE IDEAL TABLET FOR UTILITIES: Advanced features, Ultra-thin design, easy portability among the main features
Intel Core M processor, Ergonomic design, 10.1 inch high resolution display very sensitive to touch, Lumibond 2.0 technology, very advanced wireless transmission speed: features to work efficiently and in any place
20 October 2015 – Getac, a leading manufacturer of rugged computers, introduces a new lightweight fully rugged tablet fully equipped for all field applications, such as utility, warehouse and inventory management. In addition to its ultra-thin, lightweight and ergonomic design, the Getac RX10 boasts some of the most advanced features and specifications for handling complex tasks in harsh environments.
Equipped with an Intel Core M processor, it combines maximum processing speed with energy efficiency, incorporating all the features sought after by field service professionals in a rugged tablet. The thickness of only 18.8 mm and the weight of 1,200 grams make it the ideal tool to face a shift without difficulty and without sacrificing essential functionality. The large 10.1-inch full HD display, combined with Getac’s exclusive LumiBond 2.0 technology, offers greater brightness and durability, with better contrast and colors for easier readability even in direct sunlight. In addition, LumiBond technology makes the screen more sensitive in humid environments and allows use with capacitive pen or digitizer and even when wearing gloves, a very useful feature for working in harsh environmental conditions.
“Handling and responsiveness are the two key features of a rugged device for field service professionals,” highlights Antonio Carotenuto, Country Manager of Getac Italy. “The fully rugged RX10 tablet integrates both to the highest level, in a form factor that is easily transportable and continuously operational, even in extreme temperatures.”
Battery efficiency is essential for field workers, and in this respect, the performance of the Getac RX10 exceeds industry standards and expectations. In addition to offering eight hours of battery life after a single charge, the hot swap design allows you to replace the main battery and insert another one without closing running applications or shutting down the operating system.
The Getac RX10 is also equipped with a variety of security and connectivity features that allow you to securely store and share sensitive data. Multifactor authentication includes passwords, RFID reader, fingerprint reader and smartcard reader, and an additional guarantee is offered by the TPM 2.0.
For connectivity, the tablet integrates an Intel AC 7265 network adapter with 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology for fast connection and minimal battery consumption. The Tri-Pass-Through feature is an advantage for users who want to extend the signal range using their vehicle’s antenna.
Other features include front-facing HD webcam, USB 3.0 / 2.0 ports, micro HDMI port, headphone / microphone combo and optional 1D / 2D barcode reader. An 8 MP camera and POGO pin connector is installed on the back of the tablet. The RX10 has been independently tested and certified to MIL-STD 810G and IP65 standards, a guarantee that the internal components are protected from water, dust and extreme temperatures.
