Humanity fights for Earth’s existence in trailer Maelstrom

Maelstrom, the new title from the creators of Perimeter, will be an action-strategy game that will be released exclusively for PC. The game was originally supposed to be released last September, but developer KDV Games indicated at the time that it needed more time to perfect the game even more. As it looks now, we can expect Maelstrom in stores within a month and as a teaser, a new trailer was released today.

The year is 2040. The earth has collapsed ecologically and in this devastated world, water is the most valuable resource. This event split the remaining humanity in two: the urban freedom fighters ‘Remnants’ and the technologically advanced ‘Ascension’. Now they must wage war against a new threat, the invasion of a vicious alien race, the Hai-Genti, and against each other in a desperate fight for power and survival. The Remnants, Ascension and Hai-Genti make up those three playable factions of Maelstrom, each differing in theme and play strategy. With the ability to form landscapes and change units, Maelstrom equips strategic gamers with the power to harness the forces of nature. Can you lead your faction to victory and dominion over Earth?
