In 2019, the Chinese company NetEase acquired a stake in the studio Quantic Dream. According to insider Tom Henderson (Tom Henderson), the tech giant will soon announce a full-fledged purchase.

The details of the deal have been discussed for several months, but it is not yet clear whether negotiations have been completed.

Sources suggest that Quantic Dream has been looking for a buyer for a long time, as its contract with Sony expired after the release of Detroit: Become Human. In recent years, the studio has reached out to several companies to promote Project Karma, a space exploration adventure game. Project Karma eventually evolved into the action-packed Star Wars Eclipse, announced in December 2021.
