Collective purchasing site will sponsor the Rio edition; registrations are now open.

Peixe Urbano sponsors for the second time Startup Farm, the first long-term Brazilian program for the creation and acceleration of digital startups. After the success of the São Paulo edition in August this year, the site will sponsor another 5 startup projects in the Rio edition of the program, which will take place from October 29 to November 28. Applications can now be made on the website until October 24th.

The chosen teams will have access to Peixe Urbano’s integration platform (API), in addition to the help of a mentor from the company, so that they can develop innovative projects that add value to consumers. “This is yet another initiative to support digital entrepreneurship in Brazil, which has been developing more and more”, says Alex Tabor, Founding Partner and CTO of Peixe Urbano. During the Startup Farm Rio period, a group of up to 50 entrepreneurs will work together in Germinator Rio’s tech co-working space for 30 days and will participate in various activities to format their business. These topics range from market sizing, team building, to financial and business model analysis. At the end of the program, each team will present its project to a panel of investors at an open event. According to Felipe Matos, organizer of Startup Farm, the partnership with Peixe Urbano will allow more entrepreneurs to create innovative and consistent projects in a scenario that is increasingly heated. “We are in an extremely favorable period for the digital entrepreneur in Brazil, with a growing offer of investments and a positive economic outlook in the country. It is necessary, however, greater preparation of entrepreneurs, in general still very inexperienced, but with enormous potential”, explains Matos. Startup Farm Rio will take place from October 29 to November 28, at night, with meetings 4 times a week. Entrepreneurs will also be able to use Germinator’s tech space throughout the 30-day period. Registrations open on the website.
