Thyssen Krupp Services starts in Serbia

Thyssen Krupp Services is expanding its materials service business and has been active in Serbia with the new company Thyssen Krupp Materials doo since January. As a so-called greenfield solution in Indjija, 40 kilometers northwest of Belgrade, the company founded a processing and logistics center with its own siding on a total area of more than 17,000 square meters.

“With this activity, our network in Eastern Europe and the Balkans will become even closer. Right from the start, we will focus on high-quality rolled steel products including complex processing services. The range is to be quickly expanded to include non-ferrous metals and plastics, ”says Joachim Limberg, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Thyssen Krupp Services.

With around 7.4 million inhabitants, Serbia has seen increased economic growth in recent years and is increasingly investing in its own infrastructure. According to Limberg, neighboring countries such as Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina should also be supplied from Serbia. The workforce will be expanded to around 60 at the new location, where around 15,000 tons will be stored in the medium term. The managing directors are Stevan Sefer and Petar Radovanovic.
