The IGN portal published a video preview with the new gameplay of the System Shock remake, which was announced back in 2015. In the video, the protagonist explores the spaceship, solves puzzles and shoots scary creatures.

According to the author of the video, the remake is similar to modern survival horror. He liked the frightening atmosphere created by the dark confined spaces, dim lighting, and corpses scattered across the ship. As a disadvantage, he cited the inventory being overloaded with unnecessary items.

The remake has been created on Unreal Engine 4 for around 8 years. In addition to completely new graphics, the updated version receives upgraded AI and revised mechanics. According to the game’s Steam page, it will be released in March 2023 on PC (Steam, GOG and EGS), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
