After a short teaser, the Chinese company NetEase presented a full trailer for Project Mugen, an open-world anime role-playing game that has already been described as “a mix between Genshin Impact and GTA”. Judging by the latest video, the game has at least one more inspiration.
For example, the developers are obviously familiar with 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man. Heroes fly on a black net, run along the walls of skyscrapers and perform tricks in the air. Sounds and animations are similar to those from the game Insomniac.
In the video you can also see the combat system, including melee, shooting and magic. You’ll soon be able to check how it all comes together – preliminary registration is possible on the official website.
A release date for Project Mugen has yet to be announced. The game will be released on PC, PS4, PS5 and smartphones.
