How to change and set the spawn point in GTA Online? Where can you set the spawn and determine where you start the character after starting the game? Anyone who has taken a look at GTA Online again after a long period of inactivity may ask themselves this question, because depending on which buildings and vehicles you own, you sometimes spawn in places that are further away from the “places of action”. In order to save the constant journey from the spawn to the city, you can of course also change the spawn point manually and in this short guide we will show you how this works.
GTA 5 Online spawn point: Set starting point
To change the spawn point, you first have to open the interaction menu in the game.
- PS5 and PS4: Press and hold the touchpad
- Xbox Series and One: Press and hold the View button
- PC: Hold down the M key
In the opened interaction menu you can now set the starting point via the settings.
- Scroll all the way down in the interaction menu and open “Settings”. In the settings you can now change the “spawn point” first.
- You can choose from options such as “Last Location” or “Random”. There is no need to save the “Last Location” when exiting the game, just use the approximate location that is automatically saved due to constant sync.
- Almost all purchased properties appear at the “spawn points” and can also be used as a starting point. The same applies to the mobile headquarters such as the Kosatka submarine or the mobile operations center.
