Why can’t you sell certain cars in GTA Online? Why can’t I sell some stolen vehicles? If you need a little money in GTA Online, you might come up with the idea of simply stealing a few vehicles and then selling them at Los Santos Customs. In principle this works, even if it is not necessarily the best method for earning money in the online mode of Grand Theft Auto 5, but selling does not work for every car. The question arises, why is this actually the case?
GTA Online: Selling cars is not possible?
If you can’t sell a car in GTA Online, it could be due to a variety of things. On the one hand, you should remember that you can only sell vehicles up to a value of 50,000 Los Santos dollars in the workshop that do not belong to you. If the car is worth over $50,000, you cannot convert it into cash here. This is one of the most common reasons why cars cannot be sold.
Furthermore, you cannot currently sell Warstock Cache and Carry vehicles in GTA Online that require delivery via Pegasus. In most cases, vehicles that have been obtained via exploits, glitches or other “forbidden methods” cannot be sold.
Pay attention to the waiting time when selling a car
If you stole a car and then sold it at Los Santos Customs, there is a cooldown with a waiting period. Currently, the waiting time when selling a car is a total of 48 minutes before you can sell the next stolen vehicle. You have to wait for the time and there is currently no trick that can be used to avoid the cooldown.
