The passport photo is a free app, available in the App Store, with minimally invasive advertising and the possibility of in-app purchases to increase its functions, very easy to use due to its limited settings for the purpose. To unlock the various formats, you can make a single purchase from 3.99 euros, while to unlock all available formats you need to make a purchase from 6.99 euros.
To download it on your iPhone, connect to the link I just provided you directly from your “iPhone by” (or search for it manually in App Store), press the button Get and, if necessary, confirm the operation via Face ID, Touch ID or Apple ID password.
Once the download is complete, open the app. On the main screen, tap on the box Create a new passport photo and select the item from among the countries present Italy or another country whose measures are suitable for your purpose, and click on arrow pointing right. At this point, in the new screen opened, choose whether to upload a photo from those present on your iPhone, using the voice Upload photos, or whether to take a new photograph with the camera, by means of the wording Take a picture. In any case, then press the button OK to grant permission for the app to access the Gallery and / or the camera.

Once this is done, you can choose how to import the photograph: by clicking on the item From Photo you will see the app open automatically Photo of your iPhone through which you can select your image; pressing on the item Roominstead, you can take a new photograph using the camera of your device directly (always remember to grant the necessary permissions); finally, by pressing on the item File you can select an image saved on iCloud Drive or in the folder iPhone.
In the event that, therefore, you have to create an ID photo from scratch, select the item Room, create the conditions necessary to ensure that the photograph meets all the standards that I have listed above and proceed with the shot.
When the shot is done, if it is good, press on the item Use Photo (bottom right) and then on the key Next Step. At this point, wait a few seconds for the app to automatically make the necessary adjustments, such as the creation of the completely white background and the removal of shadows.
If the photo satisfies you, press the button Next Step, alternatively, use the buttons located below the image to make further changes: using the first icon, the one represented by a white circle, you can edit the background, through the second gray circleinstead, you can select the level of opacity and, with the other icons present, the brightness, the temperature, the shadows and finally the saturation.
Once this is done, you just have to select the size: tap on the item Passport 2 × 2 in and, in the box that you see open on the screen, select the option Italy relative to the item Country and the type of document, such as ID Card 35 × 45 for the Identity Card, next to the item Document. Finally, press the keys Choose And Next Step.
Now the photo is ready: select your approval rating of the service and proceed by pressing the button Export, to download the image in different formats (PNG or JPG) or Print, to print your own set of photographs to use for documents. Once you have identified the measure that is right for you among all the templates present, press the button Choose and displays the result.
Do you want more photos than the ones present? Then tap on the number next to the item Copies and from the menu you see open, select the number of photos you want.
