In 2019, the Chinese company NetEase acquired a stake in the studio Quantic Dream. According to insider Tom Henderson (Tom Henderson), the tech giant will soon announce a full-fledged purchase.
The details of the deal have been discussed for several months, but it is not yet clear whether negotiations have been completed.
Sources suggest that Quantic Dream has been looking for a buyer for a long time, as its contract with Sony expired after the release of Detroit: Become Human. In recent years, the studio has reached out to several companies to promote Project Karma, a space exploration adventure game. Project Karma eventually evolved into the action-packed Star Wars Eclipse, announced in December 2021.
Henderson previously said that Star Wars Eclipse won’t be released until 2027. The lengthy development is reportedly hampered by an acute staff shortage.👀 The Overmind on the streamer burned cheats at an unofficial Call of Duty: Vanguard tournament while trying to prove otherwise
