Is the re-release of Demon’s Souls really happening?

Kotaku editor Jason Schreier has re-launched the guesswork about the Demon’s Souls remaster.

FromSoftware’s Souls series really exploded into the public consciousness with the advent of Dark Souls and became a defining title for the gaming industry as a whole. And that’s why the first-ever acting actor, the PS3, is exclusive Demon’s Souls many have missed it to this day, an opportunity that could easily be knocked out on the publisher side.

It’s no coincidence that a rumor about a possible release of Demon’s Souls remaster has been released from time to time, but no official confirmation has been received so far – the series ’parent, Miyazaki Hidetaka, has said earlier that it’s up to Sony to thing, because they have the rights.

Demon’s Souls servers were shut down just a year ago, in February 2018, so a possible re-release has become even more relevant since then – even though the online features are still unofficially available. These hopes have now been whipped up by Kotaku’s always well-informed editor, Jason Schreier, who on the ResetEra gaming forum asked the question “do you think he will be a Demon’s Souls remaster” with a suspicious and definite yes.

Of course, this is no more than a guess, but those hoping for a possible re-release of PS4 (or PS5?) Can now proceed a little more optimistically. In the meantime, the Dark Souls Trilogy, released this week, can alleviate hunger.
