In this article you will find all the necessary steps to be able to play in Star Wars Battlefront with heroes like Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker. A few hours ago the time had finally come and Electronic Arts gave the starting signal for the open beta. Even if you can’t try out all the maps and game modes yet, the beta is certainly impressive. Not only do you have the opportunity to move across the battlefield with normal troops, but as in the previous Battlefront parts, heroes are also on board here.
Unlock Star Wars Battlefront Heroes
The heroes are of course the main characters from the game. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, who can be played in Walker Assault mode on Hoth, have already been confirmed. The young Luke Skywalker is of course on the side of the rebels while Darth Vader represents the Empire. The heroes are not only equipped with a lightsaber but also have other abilities. Among other things, Luke Skywalker has a power boost and Darth Vader has a power grip in Star Wars Battlefront.
Star Wars Battlefront: Play as Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker
Instead of earning a hero in Star Wars Battlefront by playing particularly well as a normal soldier, you can collect the heroes using a power-up. These power-ups are not only there to unlock Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, but you can also use them to unlock vehicles such as the AT-ST combat walker or a spaceship. The power-ups can be activated by pressing the shoulder buttons.
The power-ups are holograms and slightly transparent, but you can also easily recognize them by the markings. If the power-up features a laser sword, you can transform yourself into one of the heroes, depending on which faction you are currently playing in.
Both heroes constantly lose life points, even if you don’t take any damage. You can replenish these life points by killing enemies.
Luke Skywalker Abilities
Not only is Luke pretty quick on his feet, but he also has a power boost. With the power boost you can throw the enemy soldiers away and then run straight after them and use the laser sword. He also has a forward dash, so you can rush towards opponents.
Darth Vader skills
Compared to Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader moves significantly slower in Star Wars Battlefront. In addition to his laser sword throw, he also has the well-known Force Grip. This allows him to have opponents in the air and squeeze the air out of them.
With both heroes you can use the laser sword to block shots, simply use the trigger button. Now you know how to unlock the heroes and play as Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader in Star Wars Battlefront. By the way, there will be more heroes in the final version. If you believe the current rumors, these include Leia, the Emperor and Han Solo.
