The PC port of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was completely unplayable. It’s all about technical issues and optimizing the game, but at the moment the gaming community has already found several options to improve performance. In this guide, we will also describe all the errors and bugs that may appear during the game and show you effective ways to fix them.

How to increase FPS in Star Wars: Jedi Survivor

First way

Immediately make a reservation that this method may not help all users. While some players experienced an increase in average frame rate, others experienced even worse performance. If you don’t want to risk it, it’s best to wait for the official patches to be released.

To set custom settings, do the following:

  • Press the key combination “Win + R” to bring up the search string and enter “%USERPROFILE%AppDataLocalSwGameSavedConfigWindowsNoEditor” without quotes;
  • In the folder that opens, rename the “config.ini” file to “Engine.ini”.

You can also download the finished “Engine.ini” file and simply place it in the specified path. If your gaming performance has worsened, we recommend reverting the changes.

Second way

One of the players suggested a more detailed procedure for increasing FPS in the game. Open File Explorer and go to “appdata/local/swgame/…”. Using any text editor, open the GameUserSettings.ini file. Enter the following text:

  • Antialiasing = 0;
  • resolution quality = 100;
  • desired screen height = true;
  • Height/Width = (set your screen resolution);
  • All lines with “fullscreen = 1”;
  • All visual settings = “3” (it is worth lowering these values to “2” or “1” if performance deteriorates);
  • Make sure to check the “Read Only” checkbox for the “GameUserSettings.ini” file.

Nvidia Control Panel

After changing the configuration in the GameUserSettings.ini file, you need to go to the Nvidia Control Panel for the final settings:

  • Click “RMB” on the desktop and open the Nvidia Control Panel;
  • Go to “3D Settings” and “Manage 3D Settings” and then “Program Settings”;

Find the game and set its settings as described in the following sections:

  • “Incl. anisotropic filtering” (minimum value).
  • “Anti-Aliasing – Mode” sets “Application Settings Override”.
  • “Enable DSR” under “Global Options”.
  • Save and exit Control Panel.

This method helps increase the game’s performance and provide a smoother picture without FPS drawdown.

We will update this guide soon and describe other technical issues that have occurred in the game.
