Don’t know what you’re into GTA Online can or should still do? I have an idea. In this guide, you’ll learn how to max out your lung capacity, probably the least useful trait in the game.
But “least useful” doesn’t mean “completely useless.” Greater lung capacity means you can stay underwater longer. You won’t use this ability very often in GTA V/Online, but greater lung capacity brings another advantage.
If you improve a skill to its maximum value, you will receive +20 to your maximum HP (Hit Points) for your efforts. However, it depends on your skill level how large the increase in hit points will be. You get +20 HP between levels 1 and 20, +40 HP between levels 21 and 40, and so on. Once you reach level 100, this is an additional thing you can do to increase your overall HP.
You’re probably wondering how exactly this works? You can usually improve your lung capacity by swimming diligently. What matters is not how far you swim, but how long you stay in the water. You may already have guessed that this is exactly where the trick comes in.
There is a waterfall in Tongva Valley. It is marked on the map above. There is a spot in this waterfall where you only need to take a few steps forward for the game to interpret this as “swimming”, even if you are standing upright the entire time.
Once you find this spot in the Tongva Valley waterfall, walk toward it with your camera facing downwards, then linger there to “swim” until your breathing reserve is reduced to a quarter. Then release your thumbstick to get out of the waterfall and catch your breath.
Repeat this process until you reach 100%. The great thing about this trick is that it’s a lot less time consuming than actual swimming, although repeating it multiple times can also be tiring. You can always return to this waterfall to repeat the ritual a few times, or reach 100% within around an hour. However you want to do it, this is the fastest way to reach 100% lung capacity.
