The next chapter of the star Wars Saga finally has a name, and that is Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
The title was released today via StarWars.com announced. In case you’ve forgotten, Jedi is singular and plural, so the title alone says nothing about the fate of Luke or Rey.

It’s a fittingly ominous title for the middle chapter of a new trilogy, but what could it mean? Although Jedi is used both in the singular and plural, many fans will interpret the title as a sign of ill fate for Luke Skywalker and assume that he will pass on the teachings of the Jedi to Rey before he dies (or, shockingly, that never happens : Rey dies and Luke is the last Jedi standing).
However, it is also possible that the title refers to both, as they appear to be the last to survive Luke’s dramatically failed attempt to lead the Jedi Order before the events of The Force Awakens to revive, are left. Recently, rumors have been circulating that Rey is being taught by Luke, which could indicate that she is not yet a full Jedi as she takes her first step into a larger world.
But really not much is known yet. However, we now know that The Last Jedi is a pretty cool title.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi was written and directed by Rian Johnson. The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Ram Bergman, JJ Abrams, Jason McGatlin and Tom Karnowski. It will be released in cinemas worldwide on December 15, 2017.
