How can you make your own weapons in Cyberpunk 2077? Where do you get the blueprints or schematics for the weapons and where can you find the item components for crafting? In the new Cyberpunk 2077 you can not only find some weapons in the game world and buy them from the weapons dealer, but you can also craft weapons yourself and improve them. The only question is, how does making weapons work in Cyberpunk 2077?

Making and crafting weapons
Item crafting and upgrading items are relatively simple in Cyberpunk 2077. You don’t have to visit any special NPCs or go to a workbench, but you can simply craft the weapons and equipment via the menu under the “Item Crafting” tab. In addition to the different types of weapons in different rarity levels, you can also make your own ammunition and grenades. In addition to the appropriate crafting materials, you also need the schematic to make a weapon. The schematic is, so to speak, the blueprint for the weapon you want to craft. To craft rare, epic and legendary weapons, you also need the corresponding advantage from “Item Crafting”.
- High Art – Allows you to craft rare items
- Tech Genius – Allows you to craft epic items
- Exceptional Talent – Allows you to craft legendary items
Find and buy scheme
There are various ways you can get additional schemes. On the one hand, you can find the schemes in the game world and loot them normally, and on the other hand, there are also weapon dealers who sell the schemes. Leveling up item crafting also unlocks additional schematics for weapons, clothing, and consumables.
- Level 6: Unlocks consumables, weapons, and clothing schematics
- Level 9: Unlocks rare weapon schematics, weapon mods, and clothing
- Level 13: Unlocks epic weapon schematics, weapon mods, and clothing
- Level 18: Unlocks iconic weapon schematics, weapon mods, and clothing
In order to get further schemes, you should first level up item production. In addition, you can easily do the NCPD tasks on the map, i.e. tasks such as “Suspicion of organized crime”, “Crime reports”, and “Robbery”.
Find, buy and craft item components
The item components can also be purchased from various merchants in Night City and can also be found in the game world. You can also dismantle weapons and armor to obtain additional item components. Depending on which rarity level the item is, you will also receive the item components in the corresponding rarity level. So when you dismantle a legendary weapon, you get legendary item components. When you dismantle an epic weapon, you get epic item components.
