GTA Online: VIP and bodyguards
In order to get VIP status in GTA Online, you not only have to put a lot of money on the table, but there are also other requirements. If you want to become a VIP, you first have to have 1 million GTA dollars in your account. By the way, the $1 million is not spent, you just have to have it in your account. In addition, the time in which you can run through Los Santos as a VIP is always limited, because you can move around as a boss in free mode for a maximum of 4 hours. Not only the time but also the number is limited, so a maximum of 6 VIPs can be in one session.
In order to become a VIP, you must firstly meet the requirements and, secondly, open SecuroServ in the interaction menu. Here you can look for work and either work as a bodyguard or become a VIP and hire bodyguards for yourself. As a “Very Important Person” you can hire up to 3 players as bodyguards for you, these can be friends or strangers. Additionally, you can equip your bodyguards with equipment and provide them with weapons, bulletproof vests and other things.
Once you have reached VIP status, there are some new features in GTA Online. So you can complete the six new VIP jobs, including the “Pirate Defense” job in which you have to protect your VIP’s yacht from pirate attacks as a bodyguard. There are also VIP challenges in which you can compete against other organizations and gangs in classic PvP.
Become a GTA Online bodyguard
Of course, the question of how to become a bodyguard in GTA Online doesn’t arise for many people, because of course everyone wants to become a VIP. However, if you don’t meet the requirements and, for example, don’t have enough cash in the virtual bank in GTA 5, you can also work as a bodyguard for another player. This not only gives you access to the VIP missions and jobs mentioned above, but you also get a reward of 5,000 GTA dollars for every 15 minutes you spend as a bodyguard. Not exactly a lot, but you don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. At the same time, there are also 100 RP per minute and other advantages such as faster life generation near the VIP, you can start directly at the VIP after death and so on.
There is still a disadvantage to being a bodyguard in GTA Online, because all the money you get in free mode, for example through missions and other actions, goes to the boss.
Now you know how you can become a VIP or bodyguard in GTA Online and what advantages this gives you. Are there any more questions? Did we forget something important about the innovation in GTA 5 Online?
