I feel like a fool for even asking this question, but is it possible that The Walking Dead will finally be as great as the series should already be? If this four-minute trailer for season four is even close to what the upcoming episodes have to offer, then the answer could be yes.
Rick and Co. seem more competent and prepared than ever – and there’s clearly drama that isn’t just based on people making stupid decisions. Seriously, the way they take over the supermarket? Great. Carol giving knife lessons? Great. The zombies slowly making their way into the prison despite so much effort being made to fortify it? Great. A car that can’t drive away because the wheel spins on too many zombie innards? Most amazing.
Of course, it’s far too early to say anything about the qualities of the upcoming season, but this trailer makes The Walking Dead look pretty damn great. We won’t know whether this is really true until October 13th at the earliest, because that’s when the fourth season starts in the USA.
