Republic Commando is one of the best – and most underrated – star Wars games of all time. It’s just that if you wanted to play it on PC, you were out of luck, as the game didn’t run well at all on modern graphics cards (and looked pretty bad too). Luckily there is now a mod that fixes these problems.

Published not long ago Leon280698 a mod for the game that improves the graphical representation of Republic Commando significantly improved and, for example, eliminated a long-standing problem with “bump mapping”. In the months since the mod’s release, he’s improved it to the point where it now makes the game itself better. Players now have legs when looking at the ground, he added an FOV (field of view) slider and improved the resolution to 4K if the hardware can handle it.

Published in 2005 Republic Commando was a first-person game based around the events of star Wars Prequel trilogy plays. However, E is no ordinary first-person shooter as it has a strong tactical component as players have to control all members of a team (squad) and assign tactics to the others.

The game is available on Steamif you want to try it out.
