Role-playing servers, which are very popular in GTA Online and Red Dead Online, can become an official part of GTA 6. According to a recent announcement from Rockstar, the makers of Cfx.re’s popular FiveM and RedM platforms are now working with the studio.
We’ve been excited to see how the creative community has found new ways to expand the GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 experience over the past few years, particularly through the creation of dedicated role-playing servers. To support their efforts, we’ve expanded our mod policy to include content created by RPG enthusiasts.
Working with the Cfx.re team, we will help them find new ways to support this incredible community and improve the services they provide to developers and players.

Cfx.re employees added that their work will not change much – they will continue to develop FiveM and RedM. They have nothing to do with the development of the next GTA (at least for now).
To understand how popular RPG servers are, just look at Take-Two’s latest financial reason. According to the publisher, the fifth part sold 185 million copies. Also yesterday, it was announced that GTA 5 became the most watched game of July on Twitch with 139 million hours.

- Take-Two once again hinted at when GTA 6 will be released – during this period the company is waiting for “records”
- Baldur’s Gate 3 has had a record launch on Steam – it has already overtaken PUBG, Apex Legends and GTA 5
- A new level of realism – artificial intelligence was integrated into GTA 5 and showed how conversations with NPCs now take place
