The media reported that the development of GTA 6 cost Rockstar two billion dollars. This is reported with reference to hacker teapotuberhacker, who previously leaked an early build of the game.
The hacker announced this amount 3 days before the leak; he originally planned to sell the data in hacker communities. Apparently this amount includes not only the development itself, but also planned marketing, costs for actors and the like. In comparison, the company spent $200 million on GTA 5 and up to $500 million on Red Dead Redemption 2.
Previously, we reported that gameplay videos and screenshots of an early version of the game appeared on the network.
