On March 10th the time had finally come and even though the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is still a long time coming and won’t be released until next month, you can now finally experience the long-awaited bank robberies and heists in GTA Online on the PS4 or PS3 and Xbox One and Xbox One start. In addition to downloading the update, there are a few other requirements for the heists, which we have briefly and succinctly summarized in the following paragraphs and described in a short tutorial. Below you will find what we think is a very interesting video, which shows most of the steps listed here in moving images. GTA 5 or GTA Online has been on the market for a few months or even years when it comes to the old-gen version and is still very popular. But even though there is still a lot to discover and a lot of fun in the online mode, which probably won’t be exhausted any time soon, it was time for something big new and that’s what Rockstar Games has with the new Heists Update for GTA 5 Online definitely done.

So let’s get to the important part and that is, on the one hand, the requirements for a bank robbery and the question of how you can actually start a robbery in GTA Online in the new planning room. The first step is to get a high-end apartment, which most players have certainly already done. Once that’s done, the new GTA 5 Heists update will give you a planning room with lots of tools for later heists. However, if you want to start a mission here, you can search for a long time at the beginning, because first you have to talk to Lester, as briefly described in the following tutorial.
- The first step is to go to your apartment and then back to the planning room. There you will then be shown basic functions such as the planning board and the like. The room is still without function.
- In the next step you have to be a little patient, because after you enter the planning room, sooner or later you will get a call from Lester asking you to come visit him.
- You should then see a waypoint to Lester on the map. Visit him and listen to the first explanations about the raids.
- Once the cutscenes have been completed, you have to wait a little longer until you get the next call from Lestor. Here too you have to have a little patience.
- After the call from Lestor you can finally start the robberies or bank robberies in GTA Online. To do this, simply go to the planning room in your high-end apartment and use the D-pad to the right to select and start the individual raids.
