How can I transfer my old GTA 5 Online save from PS3 to PS4 or from Xbox 360 to Xbox One? We asked ourselves this question and since we are probably not alone with it, we have created a short guide here in the form of a tutorial. The reason for the question is the release of the next-generation version of GTA 5, which was released a few days ago on November 18, 2014. There’s no need to tell anyone that the new part is once again an absolute must-buy for all Grand Theft Auto fans. In addition to the much improved new look, there are also some very interesting innovations. This mainly includes the first-person perspective as well as some small changes and innovations. Even though you can certainly play through the single-player campaign again, it will be the online mode in GTA 5 that will be most interesting for many. Thank God Rockstar Games has built in a way to transfer the old GTA 5 Online save. This applies to both the game status from the PS4 to the PS3 and to the game progress from the Xbox One to the Xbox 360.

Guide: Transfer GTA 5 Online saves to PS4 or Xbox One

Now let’s get to the important part and that is a short step by step guide with which you can transfer your old GTA 5 Online save from the PS3 or PS4 to the Xbox 360 or Xbox One. The process is not particularly difficult or complicated and the only requirements are of course the Rockstar Social Club account itself and a few minutes of time. A detailed tutorial can also be found in detail on the website from Rockstar Games under the linked article.

  • The first step is to link your Rockstar Social Club account to your console on which you have previously played GTA Online, i.e. the PS3 or Xbox 360.
  • Then start your new console in the form of the PS4 and Xbox One, start GTA 5 and log in with your Rockstar account.
  • When you start GTA 5 Online, you then have the option of transferring your character’s save game from the old console to the new console.
  • If you have already created a new character on the PS4 or Xbox One, it will be deleted.

After you transfer the account to the PS4 or Xbox One, you still have the opportunity to play with your character on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, it is important to note that the game progress is no longer synchronized. Otherwise, the GTA 5 Online game status was transferred from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One and from the PS3 to the PS4 without any major problems. There may be minor errors here and there, as the rush in the coming hours and days will certainly be huge.
