A few hours ago, the new Star Wars Jedi Survivor was released for PC and consoles. As was to be expected before the release, the successor to the very successful predecessor Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is enjoying great popularity. As is now (unfortunately) almost usual for PC releases, the start of Star Wars Jedi Survivor does not seem to be spared from technical problems for the release. In addition to reports of problems with performance and stuttering, you often read about problems starting the game and crashing. The question arises what to do if Star Wars Jedi Survivor does not start?

Star Wars Jedi Survivor won’t start or crashes?

  • Check system requirements: Does your system meet the minimum requirements of the game? If it isn’t, then that could be the cause of the startup issues or crashes. The Minimum requirements are on the official website.
  • Restart the PC: Before you search for a long time for a cause, simply restart the PC and try again. Sometimes technical problems can be easily fixed by restarting the PC after installing games or driver updates and suddenly everything works without problems and crashes.
  • Bring graphics card drivers up to date: With large triple-A releases, it is often worth updating the graphics card drivers. It is not uncommon for the major graphics card manufacturers to optimize their drivers for the new titles, and this usually not only improves performance, but also fixes problems with crashes.
  • Check game files for errors: According to posts on Reddit, some buyers seem to have had something wrong with the preload of the game. To be on the safe side, you should have the game files checked again for errors. In the EA client (formerly Origin), open the game library, select Jedi Survivor and then use “Manage” and “Repair” to check the game files. In Steam you also have to open the game library, select Jedi Survivor and then “Verify integrity of game files” via “Properties” under “Local files”.

We will continue to add more fixes to the list as more known issues and workarounds become available.
