Telltale Designers Sean Ainsworth created this bizarre conclusion in the final days of development TWD.

What do video game developers do when they’re extremely bored? If the developer in question Sean Ainsworth is working as a designer and author on various Telltale games, including Tales from the Borderlands, Minecraft: Story Mode andthe Walking Deadthen he creates an “alternate ending” for TWD Season Onewhich many fans believe is now the official one.

The video on which the earlier Telltale Designer and Director Jake Rodkin attention was drawn during the last days of work The Walking Dead Season One created. “The last week of production on Season 1, it was just me and @Spainsy left waiting for any last minute bugs,” tweeted Rodkin. “He made this during that crazy week.”

Ainsworth confirmed that this end is his work and called it a “weird dumb thing.”

That may be true, but it’s also great. Is it also canon? It was by Telltale created for a game that uses the “choose your own adventure” design and is described by the project’s designer and director as an “alternate ending”. That’s good enough for me!

Unfortunately it seems Telltale to be closed forever.
