I’m not necessarily the biggest star Wars Fan, but the trailer that announces the release date of Star Wars: Battlefront (official site) will be announced – November 17th, fans of the power – certainly thrilled me with its many exciting explosions. Space men darting around exotic locations on and in strange vehicles look outstanding. Everything fans love is on display: Robocow, Crossjets, Hoverbikes, the famous Crumpet Eagle, Johnny Rockets and even that evil black Cylon with his lightsaber. The unreal possibilities of sci-fi headshots interest me far more than boring real-world jazz.

But all joking aside, look at what a beautiful virtual moon Endor is Battlefield People DICE have made:

They call this “game engine footage”. It’s obviously all staged, so it can’t be gameplay, and I expect the finished game will be less pretty. Nonetheless! I recently saw a documentary about the redwood forests that live on Endor (Wookiepedia says that the name is used for both the gas giant and its forested moon, pedants) scenes were filmed, and long for those trees. I’m happy that they look so big and colorful and exciting here. What magnificent trees!

Since you’re less enthusiastic about trees, I’m assuming you want to know details about the game. In order.

You’ve probably already guessed that DICE be Battlefield-like thing runs through. Battles for up to 40 players are offered using Star Wars locations, characters, weapons and vehicles. There will also be “crafted missions” for single player and cooperative play. There are many exciting movie moments that could serve as inspiration for this.

Of course, since this game is published by Electronic Arts, there’s that disgusting one again Pre-order thing. People who purchase the game early will get access to the Battle of Jakku a week before anyone else. This one, I was told, “precedes the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens“. It’s a small thing, but bluh.
