If no servers are found for you in Star Wars Battlefront, you are sitting alone in the lobby without other players joining the session or the connection is lost while playing, then you may want to enable the ports for Star Wars Battlefront in your router. Even though the multiplayer mode of the highly anticipated Star Wars game should generally work without port sharing, under certain circumstances there can be some connection problems that can often be solved with a simple port forwarding.

Star Wars Battlefront release ports

Since setting up port forwarding in general and not just for Star Wars Battlefront on the PC, PS4 or Xbox One is always slightly different depending on which router you use, you should first open the corresponding window in the router. Here we describe the port release using a Fritzbox and the PS4 version of Star Wars Battlefront. You can find a number of instructions on the internet for common router models such as Easybox, Speedport, Dlink and many other manufacturers.

  1. Open the web interface of your Fritzbox, by default this can be reached via the IP address 192.168.178.1 via the browser.
  2. Now select “Internet” and “Sharing” on the left side.
  3. You can now open the ports using the router “Port sharing” and the “New port sharing” button.
  4. To do this, select “Port sharing active for other applications” under “An IP address” and enter the address of your PS4 or PC or Xbox One under “To IP address”.
  5. Under “From Port” and “To Port” you now select the Star Wars Battlefront ports listed below.
  6. Also pay attention to the selection of the protocol in the form of “TCP” and “UDP”.
  7. Port forwarding is now set up via “OK”; a restart of the router is not necessary.
