Unable to access Rockstar servers: GTA 5 PC not working

Since the error message appeared for us hours after installing GTA 5, we tried out some solutions from major platforms such as Reddit. Because we already know this much, thank God the error message “Unable to access Rockstar server” doesn’t just appear on us and it seems to be a current problem with the Rockstar servers. However, we tried many things like:

Changed the Windows user name to only letters (which was also the cause of another problem).
Almost everything .exe files from GTA like the GTA V Launcher or the Social Club started as an administrator
All necessary ports are also activated in the router.
Antivirus and firewall completely disabled.
Reinitialized Steam cache or checked game files in Steam for errors

Update: Apparently it’s not Rockstar’s servers, but in this case it was actually the virus scanner, deactivating it wasn’t enough, just a complete uninstallation, see comments.

Since none of this helped and the error message is reported in many English forums, we’ll have to wait and hope that the servers get up and running again.
