The GTA 5 Roleplay servers are still very popular and this is not least because the role-playing game in Grand Theft Auto 5 is still very present on platforms such as Twitch. There are now numerous GTA 5 roleplay servers on which you can “simulate real life” after a successful application and acceptance. If you don’t play GTA 5 on the PC, but on the console in the form of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you may ask yourself, how can you join a roleplay server on the console? How can you in GTA 5 on PS4/PS5 join a roleplay server and where can you store the IP address or domain of the GTA 5 RP server?
GTA 5 PS4: Join and join RP server?
The short answer is, yes, there are now some “roleplay servers” for GTA 5 on the PS4 and Xbox One (and also for the PS5 and Xbox Series X), but they work differently than in the PC version. While in the PC version you usually download your own launcher and there are numerous adjustments on the servers compared to normal GTA Online, the RP servers on the console currently consist of well-organized Discord groups through which you can interacts with other players. There are no dedicated servers and no modifications.
Since the console version of GTA 5 or GTA Online does not offer mod support and, according to current reports, this is probably not planned for the time being, you shouldn’t have high hopes that you will be able to get GTA 5 RP on the PS4 and Xbox One soon just like you can play on the PC. If you want to play real GTA 5 RP, we recommend the PC version rather than the PS4 or Xbox One version.
